Viraj H2, winner of the Lopez Loreta Prize worth €1 million

We are honored to announce that Viraj H2 has received a €1 million grant from the Fondation Jean‑Jacques et Félicia Lopez‑Loreta, an esteemed foundation that supports exceptional graduates from top institutions such as ISAE‑SUPAERO, EPFL, ETH Zürich, and École Polytechnique.

This prestigious award was granted in December 2023 to Viraj H2 ‍in recognition of their groundbreaking concept: a turboprop enhanced by a proprietary steam-injection process aiming to accelerate aviation decarbonization. The grant enables the transition from low-power prototype to a structured R&D programme over approximately four years in collaboration with leading laboratories such as ISAE‑SUPAERO.
